What began as a single mobile demonstration trailer built in a Long Island warehouse has grown into a statewide movement. From early test runs to winning the $1 million Empire Technology Prize, Hudson Clean Heat has brought its steam and high-temperature heat pump technology to some of New York's most iconic buildings - the Empire State Building, 2 Penn Plaza, 857 Fifth Avenue, Governors Island, and beyond.

Long Island Warehouse
Everything started at our Long Island warehouse. That’s where we rolled up our sleeves and actually built the mobile demonstration trailer – designing, testing, and refining it until we had a working platform ready to take out into the world. It was the point where our clean heat solution stopped being a concept and became something real, something that could open doors with partners, industry contacts, and communities across New York State.

MPN Employee Appreciation Day
New Mt. Vernon Office. First time driving the trailer from our Long Island warehouse and testing the system at another location. We demonstrated the system for all 2Hudson employee-owners. It served as a test run for future demonstrations for customers and partners.
Saratoga Springs – NY GEO 2025
NY GEO 2025 was exactly the kind of room we needed to be in. Surrounded by geothermal innovators and building decarbonization experts, we brought our mobile trailer to the floor and let the technology speak for itself. We came away with new relationships – engineers, contractors, developers, and sustainability pros who are all working toward the same goal of cleaner buildings across New York.

Mount Vernon Open House
Mount Vernon was our first time taking the technology fully public. We opened the doors to industry professionals, community members, and potential partners – and the response was eye-opening. Long Island City – ROCKROSE Demonstration
Working with ROCKROSE gave us the chance to show what clean heat looks like in a real urban building – not a lab or a pilot site, but the kind of dense multifamily environment that makes up so much of New York City’s housing stock. Building owners were able to see directly how switching to our solution could cut emissions without any trade-offs on performance or running costs.
Empire State Building Demonstration
There’s something undeniably powerful about standing in the Empire State Building and talking about the future of clean heat. As one of the world’s most iconic examples of large-scale building sustainability, it was the perfect setting to show why our technology matters for major commercial properties. The audience was exactly who we needed – industry leaders who understand the scale of the decarbonisation challenge and are actively looking for solutions.

2 Penn Plaza – Empire Technology Prize Winner
Winning the Empire Technology Prize was the moment that changed everything. We were awarded the $1 million grand prize for our work developing and deploying steam and high-temperature heat pump technologies – solutions built specifically to support New York’s clean energy transition. It wasn’t just a financial boost; it was a public signal that what we’re building matters, and that practical, scalable clean heat solutions for commercial and multifamily buildings are ready for the real world.
Governors Island – Sustainable Solutions Challenge
Governors Island was a different kind of conversation. As a finalist in the Sustainable Solutions Challenge, we had the chance to put our technology in front of people who think seriously about city-scale decarbonisation. We talked through the real barriers – buildings, infrastructure, upfront cost – and showed how clean heat systems like ours could actually work at scale.
Bush Terminal, Brooklyn – NYCEDC Demonstration
Bush Terminal was a chance to show our technology in a very different context – one tied to public infrastructure, economic development, and the NYCEDC’s vision for a greener New York City. Engaging directly with public-sector stakeholders here helped us understand what broader deployment looks like at a city scale, and the conversations reinforced just how much appetite there is for clean heat solutions beyond the private sector.
NY Build – Javits Center
NY Build 2026 brought us in front of one of the most diverse construction and development audiences we’ve ever encountered – developers, engineers, contractors, and architects from across the region, all under one roof. It was a clear sign of where we are in our commercialisation journey: no longer just in demonstration mode, but actively building the awareness and industry relationships that drive real-world adoption.
From building our first trailer in a Long Island warehouse to standing on stage with the Empire Technology Prize, every step along the way has pushed our mission forward. The work isn’t done – if anything, it’s just getting started. We’ve shown that clean heat solutions for commercial and multifamily buildings aren’t a future concept.
