Next-Generation Decarbonization Solutions Across New York

2Hudson Launches Hudson Clean Heat to Deliver Next-Generation Decarbonization Solutions Across New York

Sleepy Hollow, NY – July 1, 2026

2Hudson, a leader in environmental comfort and heating solutions, today announced the official launch of Hudson Clean Heat, a new operating company focused on delivering advanced electrification and decarbonization solutions for buildings across the New York City metropolitan area. The launch represents an expansion of the capabilities that have defined the 100% employee-owned 2Hudson family of companies for over 60 years. With the addition of Hudson Clean Heat, 2Hudson is committed to helping customers navigate the transition                                                                                                                                                                 toward a lower-carbon future.

“Hudson Clean Heat is a natural extension of our long-term vision,” said Jaime Tetrault, President and CEO of 2Hudson. “We are witnessing a fundamental and sustainability-focused shift in how buildings are designed, operated, and heated. Our role is to provide the leadership, innovation, and practical solutions that allow our customers to successfully adapt to that change.”

Inspired by Exploration, Built for the Future

The name Hudson Clean Heat was chosen with deliberate meaning, connecting the company’s heritage and its forward-looking mission.

“Hudson” reflects the broader 2Hudson platform while drawing inspiration from Henry Hudson, whose exploration of New York Harbor and the Hudson River became a defining moment in the region’s history. That journey symbolized discovery, movement, and the opening of new possibilities.

“Today, New York is entering a new era of exploration, not geographic, but technological and environmental. As the city leads in building decarbonization initiatives and regulatory transformation, Hudson Clean Heat was created to operate at the forefront of this new frontier,” said Tetrault.

“Clean Heat” clearly defines the company’s purpose: delivering thermal solutions that reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and support a more sustainable energy future.

A Company Born from Market Insight

Hudson Clean Heat originated from a clear and growing market need.

“This company started as an idea grounded in what we were seeing every day,” said Ian Rowburrey, Chief Commercial Officer of 2Hudson. “Customers are navigating a complex and rapidly changing energy landscape. They don’t need abstract concepts; they need real solutions. Hudson Clean Heat is the result of building a company specifically designed to meet that need.”

Rowburrey continued, “It’s something we’ve built intentionally from the ground up; a focused platform that brings together technology, engineering, and strategy in a way that delivers results.”

Built on Relationships and Market Leadership

The company’s early success has been driven by strong industry relationships and a deep understanding of customer challenges.

“We’ve worked closely with building owners, engineers, and partners to understand how decarbonization actually happens in practice,” said Julia Cyr, Sustainability Business Development. “That foundation has allowed us to build trust in the market and position Hudson Clean Heat as a partner that can not only advise but help execute.”

“Our focus has been on turning complex requirements into clear, actionable pathways,” Cyr added. “We have the history and knowledge of the heating systems that are foundational in the city. We feel uniquely qualified to transition legacy buildings into hybrid systems that outperform existing equipment. That’s what customers are really looking for.”

Engineering Solutions for the NYC Landscape

Hudson Clean Heat has been built around technical and economically viable execution, ensuring that decarbonization strategies translate into reliable system performance.

“Decarbonization isn’t just about replacing existing technology – it’s about improving the existing built environment with as little waste as possible,” said Ian Motley, President of Hudson Clean Heat.

“Our approach is based on employing the same efficiency we aim for in our systems in every step of the process. From assessment, engineering, and design, to install, startup, and operation, the goal is to provide maximum benefits with minimum disruption that deliver measurable increased performance while maintaining reliability.”

Motley continued, “We combine the latest technologies with feasible solutions that reflect how buildings operate. That’s what enables our customers to move forward with confidence.”

A Solutions-Driven Approach to Decarbonization

Hudson Clean Heat operates as a solutions company rather than a single-technology provider. The company recognizes that carbon reduction often requires a hybrid approach that blends multiple systems and strategies and makes economic sense.

This includes electrified heating and heat pump solutions, heat recovery and thermal optimization, hybrid system integration with existing infrastructure, engineering, equipment supply, service support, and more.

As a new vertical under the broader 2Hudson Holding platform, which is home to the engineering depth and boiler expertise of Miller Proctor Nickolas, Inc. and the temporary heat and hot water solutions of Mobile Steam Boiler Rental Corp., Hudson Clean Heat provides customers with comprehensive, end-to-end support as they pursue decarbonization.

The Meaning Behind the Brand and Visual Identity

Hudson Clean Heat’s brand identity was designed to reflect both connection and differentiation within the 2Hudson family.

The logo incorporates a blend of colors, each representing a critical component of modern energy systems:

  • Red symbolizes heat, energy, and the legacy thermal systems central to the industry
  • Blue represents technology, water, and the integration of heating and cooling systems
  • Green reflects sustainability, decarbonization, and forward progress

Together, these colors communicate that there is no single solution to decarbonization. Real-world results require a coordinated, hybrid approach.

The blended design signals that Hudson Clean Heat delivers integrated solutions; bringing together engineering expertise, operational capability, and sustainability-focused innovation under the unified 2Hudson platform.

Positioned for the Future of Clean Energy

Hudson Clean Heat has been established to help lead the transition to sustainable heating and cooling by balancing real-world performance with operational reliability.

“Hudson Clean Heat represents progress,” Tetrault added. “It’s about continuing to explore, innovate, and deliver solutions that meet the next generation of energy challenges.”

The launch marks a significant milestone for 2Hudson as it continues to expand its role as a leader in environmental comfort and sustainable energy solutions.
